Pittsburgh Hardball Academy is excited to announce its inaugural fastpitch softball cohort program. For the 2024-2025 programming year (August 2024 – July 2025), we will offer a high school cohort (grades 9-12) and a middle school cohort (grades 6-8). The offerings for these two cohorts will look slightly different, but all student-athletes in our program will participate in our FOCUS  (Facilitating Opportunities for College and Universal Success) program and have the opportunity to train year-round with the Hardball staff. We believe this unique blend of programming provides student-athletes the best opportunities to grow and develop, both on & off the field, within the Pittsburgh Hardball Academy Program.

2024-2025 Softball Cohort Cost: $450*

*As always, we are happy to discuss payment plan options with families to ensure no student-athlete is turned away due to the inability to pay the total amount.

Please note that this program is meant to supplement your current travel or community team. There are no plans to create a formal softball team this year.

Pittsburgh Hardball Academy Softball Cohort Offerings:

  • Pittsburgh Hardball Academy Indoor Facility Membership

  • Training at least once per week at Shadyside and/or Homestead facility

  • Teen membership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania

  • Physical training & development (i.e. 210ths & Blaze Sports Performance)

  • Pitching instruction, if desired (additional fee)

  • Social media exposure

  • College recruiting assistance & guidance (age-appropriate)

  • FOCUS Programming (age-appropriate)

Applications for the 2024-2025 Pittsburgh Hardball Academy softball cohorts are due on Tuesday, July 30th, at 12 p.m. We will review the applications and contact families to set up a meeting in August with the Hardball staff to discuss the student-athletes goals and expectations and review the Code of Conduct and Participant Waiver and Release documents.

We look forward to working with your family to help your student-athlete achieve their goals!  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thanks,

Rebecca Uhlean, Brian Jacobson, Nelson Cooper IV, and Demetrius Haskins
