NELSON COOPER IV
18U Head Coach
Coach Nelson Cooper IV, a Seattle, Washington native, played collegiate baseball at North Carolina Central University (NCAA D1, NC).
Since 2018 he has served as the Manager for the Pittsburgh Pirates RBI regional tournament senior team (18U) leading the team to the Regional Championship game in 2018 and 2019.
Since the fall of 2019, Coach Cooper has served as a volunteer assistant coach at California University of Pennsylvania (NCAA D2) serving as the hitting coach.
Director of Player Development
Coach Mike Wilson, a Pittsburgh, PA native, has been involved in baseball for over 40 years and is widely respected as the baseball savant in the Greater Pittsburgh Region.
Most notably, Coach Wilson served as the head coach at Duquesne University (NCAA D1, PA) from 1993 until 2010 when the program was eliminated. In addition to his time at Duquesne, Wilson served as an assistant at the University of Pittsburgh and LSU. Wilson is the father of major leaguer Josh Wilson.
Since finishing at Duquesne, coach Wilson has dedicated his time to increasing the quality of play and coaching for underrepresented youth, particularly those in minority communities. He has spent over a decade coaching with the Pittsburgh Pirates RBI Program.
Assistant Director of Player Development
Coach TJ Zarewicz, a Pittsburgh, PA native, has field managed, coached, and played in independent professional baseball since 2016. After signing with the Santa Fe Fuego of the Pecos League during the ‘16 season as an RHP/ interim field manager, he has served in multiple capacities with the club, most recently serving as the field manager for the Fuego (2017-2019).
With brief stints in the American Association (2017 Salina Stockade), Can-Am League (2018 Salina Stockade/Hollywood Stars), and Pacific Association (2019 San Rafael Pacifics) coach Zarewicz has worked in several facets of coaching serving as a field manager and bench coach while overseeing player development with these clubs.
Zarewicz is a graduate of Bethany College (NCAA D3. WV) and was a catcher/ starting pitcher from 2009-2012.
18U Assistant Coach
Coach Pete Heh, a Pittsburgh, PA native, has been involved in coaching for the past 30 years around the Pittsburgh area.
For the past 10 years, he has served as a head coach, or an assistant coach, for elite softball and baseball programs within the Western Pennsylvania area. Most recently, Coach Heh has been coaching showcase baseball teams with an emphasis on college exposure and recruitment.
Coach Heh graduated from Washington and Jefferson College (NCAA D3. PA) and was a member of the baseball team. He earned his doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently a professor at California University of Pennsylvania.

Coach Bubba Snider brings 20 years of baseball coaching experience to Pittsburgh Hardball Academy. A graduate of Taylor Allderdice, he played collegiate at Bethany College as a pitcher. Coach Snider returned to Allderice, his alma mater, and served as pitching coach for several years. In 2018 he joined the staff at South Fayette High School serving as the pithcing and outfield coach for the varsity program.
Coach Snider brings a vast amount of experience when it comes to "teaching young men how to be pitchers and not throwers, while insuring they keep their arms healthy through the process." He also takes pride in teaching "the game of baseball."
"Not only do I love teaching pitchers, I also consider myself a baseball IQ coach. The more a player understands the game, the better they will be at it."
Coach Snider is married with 4 children. His son Eli is a freshman baseball player at Seton Hill University.
